JOE SIMON - Nine Pound Steel / The Girl's Alright With Me - SoundStage7-2589 - 1967I recently grabbed a small stack of Joe Simon 45's and they are all pretty impressive. He got into more of a funk sound later in the 70's, which isn't exactly my bag, but his earlier, more soulful songs are incredible.
Both sides of this record are great. One side's a slow mourner, the flip is a dance floor burner.
